What if I want to use my appraisal and change lenders?

If the report is less than 6 months old and the comparable sales have not expired, the appraisal would only require a name change to the new institution. In order for our office to do a name change, the report must be released from the original lender. A letter must be faxed into our office from the original lender stating that they are willing to release your appraisal to your new lender. Once this is obtained, we can then proceed to change the name.

The appraisal report should be taken to your new lender prior to calling our office so they can let you know what exactly they will need. If comparable sales are almost expired, new sales may be required in addition to a name change. Fees do apply for a name change as well as adding additional comparable sales.
